Responsibilities
SSRs will be required to provide student and tutor support for an Australian based organisation who deliver accredited course programs to a variety of clients.
SSRs will maintain professional relationships with both students and tutors by communicating with them using a variety of communication channels. They will also be required to schedule meetings, appointments and calls to lighten the workload of the tutors. Each SSR will manage the communication channels and schedule for 4 tutors and up to 200 students, ensuring that contact is regularly made to encourage the students to complete their coursework.
The primary responsibilities for the position are as follows:
• Phone calls to students for welcome and induction
• Using educational databases to detail student communication
• Schedule appointments for student-tutor training sessions
• Encourage and motivate students to achieve their goals
• Phone calls to students to ensure they are progressing with their coursework
• Update student files with case notes and other details
• Assist with issues e.g. logging in and help desk applications
• Respond to Frequently Asked Questions
• Ensure that contact is frequent with each student
• Using a Learner Management System (LMS) to keep track of student progress
• Build rapport with tutors and students
Requirements
• Excellent computer literacy skills including the ability to rapidly learn new web based IT systems
• Professional phone and email etiquette
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to communicate through a wide range of mediums including phone, email, Skype and social media
• An ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of new business operations
• Day shift work at Eastwood site
• Preferably at least 1 year experience of Customer Service experience
• Can start ASAP
• We are also open to candidates with a background in communication, journalism and acting, as long as you have exceptional conversational English skills – both written and spoken
