Responsibilities:

Collection of Accounts
• Achieve company collection targets, commission targets and client recovery rates as applicable.
• Set individual targets for collection officers as applicable
• Examine an account in terms of debt amount and confirmation of debtor’s address to define the best course of action taking into consideration the monetary outlay for both the client and the company.
• Identify upward and downward trends in managed campaigns making recommendations for change in collection KPI's, procedures etc
• Minimise direct costs and maximise subsequent ROI to collection divisions.
• Refer any adverse collection or ROI trends to Site Manager
• Advise Site Manager of any pertinent information.
• Practice and encourage accounts to be paid in full in the first instance (where applicable) or any variations of payment able to be obtained by negotiation.
• Adhere, at all times, to the debt collection guidelines, the Privacy Act, Uniform Consumer Credit Code and other Australian legislative requirements.
• Ensure that any customer complaints are handled efficiently and reported to the Site Manager
• Queue management as required, including but not limited to:
• Allocation of files to individual collectors
• Monitor of files allocated to team members
• Review of collectors daily work reports, ensuring all worksheets are completed.
• Ensure proper file maintenance as per company policy and legislative requirements
• Gain extensive knowledge of all divisional products including but not limited to: Lion Finance; Receivables; Commercial and; Contingent

Management of Staff
• Ensure all staff comply with Collection House's corporate policies and procedures and overall quality management programme
• Discipline and counsel staff using formal process as appropriate
• Review and monitor collector's annual performance
• Conduct interval audit program
• Complete formal staff appraisals in line with policy
• Ensure the accuracy and objectivity of all information collected
• Act as a reference point for new Collection Officers in their maintenance and updating of all new and relevant information obtained, including all relevant screens
• On-going training with Collection Officers to help see them achieve their maximum potential through coaching and mentoring

Management of Dialler and outbound campaigns / inbound telephone queues
• Intermediate user ability to build, run and monitor Dialler and outbound campaigns as directed by Site Manager or their associate in their absence using approved applications
• Prepare and outbound campaigns report(s) at the completion of each campaign (as directed)
• Manage distribution / publishing of and outbound campaigns results on a daily basis to all Collection Officers within department as well as other management as directed as well as monitoring results from campaigns
• Monitor that all staff within team / department are utilising the correct Vision Manager icon and promoting Collection Officers to be available at all times

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree
• At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Excellent English writing and speaking skills
• Experience in using MS computer applications
